Expectant/Parenting Teens (Cal-SAFE)


PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

A comprehensive, school-based program designed to improve the educational experience and increase the availability of support services for expectant and parenting students and their children. The program provides academic and support services to the students, including, but not limited to, case management, counseling, referral and service coordination, and child care services.


PROGRAM GOALS:

  • To provide expectant and parenting teens with support services while completing their education
  • To provide resources to assist expectant and parenting teens plan for their future
  • To provide care and early education for their infants and toddler


ELIGIBILITY:

 

  • Teen expecting a baby (mothers and fathers)
  • Teen parent (mothers and fathers)
  • Have not graduated from high school
  • Live within San Diego Unified School District’s boundaries
